Sofapaka FC who will be representing
Kenya in the Africa Confederations Cup are expected to resume
training on the 7th of January ahead of the games and not
on 5th as earlier stated.
Confirming the new date the Gotv sheild
winners presidents Elly Kalekwa said that the move is aimed at giving
the club time to see whether they can get more players to be included
in the squad that will play in the Confederation cup. So far the club
has secured the services of Chemilil Sugar's Willis Ouma, Top Frys'
Erastus Mwaniki, Moroka Swallows Kelvin Omondi and Rwanda Police's
Musa Mutoimana.
Sofapaka will play their first league
match at home against Zimbabwe’s representatives FC Platinum
between 13 and 15 of February before return leg fixture in a
fortnight away in Bulawayo.
Batoto Ba Mungu (Sofapaka)
who will be making a come back in the CAF after three years are
expected to bring home the cup after they lost the KPL cup to Gor
Mahia.
