The metro what?... That guy is a
metro-sexual. Shock is registered all
over my friends face. She's in disbelief. This man gets his usual haircut plus
a mani-pedi, a combination of a manicure and pedicure. How now? Where did he
come from? Why does he do it? What do ladies think of him? What would your
father think of him?

The metro-sexual man is the man that cares
just a bit more than the average man about his looks. In the African society,
the man is the hunter, provider and warrior and everything else manly. On the
other hand, the lady was taught to accentuate her beauty and feminine wiles.
This begs the question that if there is a man prettifying himself and his lady
is doing likewise then who really wears the pants. Also, what would your father
think if he say your boyfriend applying concealer to his acne prone face? I’ll
admit that’s an exaggeration.
Metro-sexuality is not a new phenomenon, along time ago such men were called dandies and this referred to their elegance and personal appearance like Dorian Gray in Oscar Wildes’ “The Portrait Of Dorian
Gray”.
