The Kenyan Premier League (KPL)
Limited KPL Governing Council has re-launched the Transparency Cup – a
tournament that was organized in 2003 and 2004 in a bid to keep their clubs
active after the league was suspended following a court order obtained by Football
Kenya Federation (FKF).
The tournament, whose theme is “Kicking
Corruption out of Kenyan Football” will be played on Saturday 14 March in
various venues across the country while Gor Mahia, who have weekend action
against AC Leopards of Congo will play their match on Wednesday 18 March.

Utalii FC won the inaugural edition,
beating Gor Mahia 2-1 in 2003 while KCB won the second edition after seeing off
